The Gildersome Pageant of 1934 was organised to raise funds for the Leeds Infirmary Appeal Fund. The highlight of this extravaganza was the arrival of a stagecoach and what was undoubtedly a showstopper, the appearance of a local legend: John Nevison the highwayman.
